Prison Ministry

Because no human being is beyond hope

Our Prison Ministry is founded on the belief that every incarcerated person retains their full human dignity. We visit prisons, listen to inmates, provide legal support where possible, and stand with those whom society has chosen to forget.

Nigeria's prisons are among the most overcrowded and under-resourced in the world. Many inmates have been awaiting trial for years without legal representation. Our volunteers bring not only companionship but practical advocacy, working with legal aid partners to expedite hearings and secure fair treatment.

We organise regular visits, distribute basic supplies, and facilitate letter-writing and family reconnection for those who have lost contact with loved ones. For many inmates, our volunteers are the only friendly faces they see.

We also work on re-entry support, helping released individuals reconnect with their communities, find employment, and rebuild their lives with dignity. Rehabilitation, not punishment, is the vision that drives our work.
