Elderly Care

No older person should face life alone

Our Elderly Care programme is built on a simple but radical conviction: that every older person deserves friendship, not just assistance. We visit, we listen, we share meals, and we stay, because loneliness is itself a form of poverty.

In a rapidly urbanising Nigeria, many elderly men and women find themselves isolated, separated from family, without income, and invisible to those around them. Our volunteers make regular home visits and organise community gatherings to restore connection.

We provide practical support including grocery assistance, help with medications and hospital visits, and companionship. But above all, we offer the gift of time, sitting with someone and saying: you matter, and you are not forgotten.

Many of the elderly people we visit have become beloved members of our community, sharing their wisdom, their stories, and their faith. This relationship is mutual. They give as much as they receive.
