Volunteering with Sant'Egidio is not about donating hours to a cause. It is about building real friendships. Whether you are tutoring children in our Schools of Peace, sitting with an elderly neighbour, serving at a soup kitchen, or joining a peace dialogue — you are changing lives by being present.
No prior experience is needed, only a willing heart. We welcome men and women of all backgrounds, ages, and faiths.
Attend a Community Meeting
Each community holds its gathering on a Saturday or Sunday, with Schools of Peace taking place right after. Reach out to find the community closest to you, come along, meet the members, and ask every question you have.
Meet the Team
Spend a day shadowing an experienced volunteer in one of our programmes. See Schools of Peace in action, join a soup kitchen run, or visit an elderly neighbour. Experience it first-hand.
